Regulations and Requirements:
We do ask to keep it family-friendly. Other rules include;You must register in advance and line up at Pictou Academy starting at 5:00 PM. Check in with parade volunteers to be directed to your designated spot. All participants must remain seated or securely standing; no dangling off the sides, and absolutely no riding on tailgates, the outside of truck beds, or vehicle roofs. Drivers of motorized vehicles must hold a valid driver's license, and all insurance and liability remain the sole responsibility of the participants. Drivers must of course follow all of the rules of the road and all directed signage, as well as not be driving under the influence. For safety, flammable gases, flammable liquids, or open flames are strictly prohibited. Any youth riding on or in wheeled vehicles must be fully supervised by adults. We ask that participants please follow all laws and provincial/federal regulations regarding the use of hate speech and/or derogatory language. Other than that, we are proud to host a respectful and family-friendly environment. We trust that our parade participants will create tasteful and positive floats for all parade-goers to enjoy!
